What to Expect in Therapy
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure what the first session will look like. My goal is to make the process as calm, clear, and predictable as possible.
In our first session, you can expect:
A welcoming space to talk about what brought you in
A chance to share your goals and what you hope to get out of therapy
A conversation about your history at a pace that feels comfortable
Zero judgment, zero pressure, and no need to “prepare” anything
Therapy isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress, honesty, and connection. You don’t have to have the right words, the right story, or the right answers. You just have to show up.
You’re allowed to take your time.
You’re allowed to be unsure.
You’re allowed to be you.
